DESCRIPTION: Also known by the unimaginative name of Grey Damsel Bug this small land insect is identified by the long, black veined brown leathery looking wings, the apical black band on the hind femora, the pale conexium, the broad black longitudinal stripe on the front femora and the dark bulging eyes. BEHAVIOUR: A species that remains hidden in dense grass and found in decent numbers where located. Eggs are laid by adults in autumn. DISTRIBUTION: Common in appropriate habitat throughout the UK. HABITAT: Grassy areas, sand dunes and saltmarsh. PERIOD: June to November.
